The Emergency Service for Carers

Our response

 

When a member of the Care Team is called upon to provide emergency care they are required to record the details of the care they have given on a communication /record sheet.This must include details of relevant information such as the care they have provided.  

The response we make to your call will be determined by your Action Plan which may be:

  • just ringing a relative, friend or neighbour to go and attend to the needs of the ‘Cared For’
  • One of our care team to 'move in' to provide care for an extended period of time (up to 48 hours, 72 hour during a Bank Holiday)

  • if the emergency should be of a prolonged nature the statutory agencies will then take over the care of the ‘Cared For’
