The Emergency Service for Carers
To provide a Carers Emergency Response Service to carers to give them ‘Peace of Mind’ that the person they care for will not be abandoned if there is an emergency.
The Service will be a project by Crossroads working in conjunction with Birmingham City Council. Crossroads will provide their expertise in delivering quality respite care and their experience of the needs of carers.
CERS respects the individual of carers and people with care needs and seeks to promote their choice, independence, diginity and safety. We will respect the privacy and personal choices, lifestyles, customs, cultures and values of each person whom a service is provided and seek to involve carers and people with care needs in the provision, management and development of service provided by CERS. Staff who are supervised, supported and trained to work with range of disabilities and illnesses.
