Our Vision

 To provide a Carers Emergency Response Service to carers to give them ‘Peace of Mind’ that the person they care for will not be abandoned if there is an emergency.

The Service will be a project by Crossroads working in conjunction with Birmingham City Council.  Crossroads will provide their expertise in delivering quality respite care and their experience of the needs of carers.

CERS respects the individual of carers and people with care needs and seeks to promote their choice, independence, diginity and safety.  We will respect the privacy and personal choices, lifestyles, customs, cultures and values of each person whom a service is provided and seek to involve carers and people with care needs in the provision, management and development of service provided by CERS.                                                                                                                              We provide:                                                                                                                                                                         A carer centred service that works with the carer and the person they care for to ensure that the service is provided according to their needs. needs.  A flexible servcie that can provide support when it is most needed.  A high quality service that is audited against the standards specified in CROQUET - Crossroads own quality evaluation tool. Staff who are supervised, supported and trained to work with range of disabilities and illnesses.
