Aims

The Carers Emergency Response Service is a specialist service which, in the event of an emergency, provides support to carers and those that they care for in their own home.  The main aim of the service is to give carers Peace of Mind so that they can go about their daily lives in the knowledge that should an emergency arise the person they care for will be looked after.  The other aims of the service:

• To give carers Peace of Mind.
• To identify hidden carers.
• To raise the profile of carers.
• To signpost carers to other services and organisations.

Our geographical area of service provision is within the boundaries of Birmingham City Council.  The service is open to carers who care for someone who lives within the boundaries of Birmingham City Council.
